Many Christians would love to have someone they can talk and pray with on their journey through life. This page is intended to help you connect with a Christian spiritual director/companion in your part of the United Kingdom. Before you begin seriously looking for a spiritual director you should spend some time in prayer, asking God to guide you to the right person. You will also need to consider such questions as: Why do you want a spiritual director? What sort of qualities are you looking for in your spiritual director? How often would you want to meet up with them? God will not necessarily give you someone who immediately seems right to you.
I didn’t immediately take to my first spiritual director but I soon recognised that he was, in fact, the right person for that particular retreat I was on. Also, be aware that not all spiritual directors are free, some will charge for their services and others will ask for a donation. Jesus said in Luke 10 : 7 that “the labourer deserves to be paid.” So if you can afford to pay then be glad that you can support a spiritual director/companion in their labour for God.
